I have divided feelings about the usefullness of interupting a public speaker. I remember anti Vietnam War protesters heckling Barry Goldwater back in 1964–a zillion years ago by modern standards. But the ambassador might’ve taken a question that would’ve given a chance to bring home the point much more forcefully. I saw both sides going away feeling smug and self-righteous.
